Bill
Like I said, its not so much what he said--its the sloppy part of it that bugs me.
Then in his last post to me, he more or less denied that he did it.
That is simply not in keeping with the facts of the situation.
I make a mistake--I say "I made a mistake."
I own anyone an "I'm sorry" I give it.
Period.
Mistakes are one thing--everyone makes mistakes--EVERYBODY--lord knows I have made my own share in the past, and I will make more
But I have little patience for "spin" and no patience at all for purposeful, willing, deception.
I bear no "grudge"

or dispite for Laird/Willy or anyone else in this discussion.
(Actually I have a good deal of respect for Laird, Stryke, Aaamed, etc--seriously)
That being the case, this is the last I will post on ANYTHING that has gone before on this topic.
I'm Scots/Irish, more than few jokes going around with that group.
The thing is that some of them are quite funny--even to me.
I just think we need to seperate non-obscene "jokes" from seriously intended racial/ethinc slurs.
We need to look at context, circumstance and intent.
Failing to do so---going right to "PC" vipertation over humor---I feel that is the wrong path to take.
When the slightest, slight, is instantly "spun" into claims of it being a "de-facto racism."
It makes it nearly impossible to "connect" at all.
If everyone is running around with their quills all extended like a PC porcupine--their "offense" pistols cocked and locked, round in the chamber, saftey off and finger on the trigger----is it any wonder why its hard to get togather on much more serious issues?
We get so bogged down in the triva that it becomes impossible to get make any progress on real issues.
