In response to the "Patriot"

Just thought I should mention that the article does not show any intent by the Pentagon, white house, etc. to actually carry out this plan, ONLY that it's being UPDATED. It's been in existence for at least a decade, through Clinton's reign and everything. It's just not something people think about, but it makes sense. THe military's always short on medical professionals, and in the case of a catastrophic emergency (the kind we would see if we went to war with China, India or Korea), those medical professionals would be seriously needed.

It's probably not the only such plan, and med professionals probably wouldn't be the only target of such things.

It's unfortunate that this might actually get some mileage for Kerry. Hopefully somebody in a credible news organization (NY Times is obviously not) will be able to get the full story.

You guys are good (but then we do hold a few cards here... ). You really have to wonder why people like MH do such things to themselves.

Perhaps you need to read a bit more carefully.
A scare story spreads electronically, but it gets facts wrong.

If you feel that their facts aren't in order, by all means write them. They are a very reputable outfit, and they do want to get it right.
We are a nonpartisan, nonprofit, "consumer advocate" for voters that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics. We monitor the factual accuracy of what is said by major U.S. political players in the form of TV ads, debates, speeches, interviews, and news releases. Our goal is to apply the best practices of both journalism and scholarship, and to increase public knowledge and understanding.

The Annenberg Political Fact Check is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. The APPC was established by publisher and philanthropist Walter Annenberg in 1994 to create a community of scholars within the University of Pennsylvania that would address public policy issues at the local, state, and federal levels.

The APPC accepts NO funding from business corporations, labor unions, political parties, lobbying organizations or individuals. It is funded primarily by an endowment from the Annenberg Foundation.
I can't say the same for most of your sources, or the way you use them.
I thank you in advance for your openmindedness and the right to have various viewspoints.
You are welcome, sir. A good challenge now and then is great intellectual exercise.

Oh yes, oh yes. By whom, and to what end??
It's been in existence for at least a decade, through Clinton's reign and everything.
Good points, Med Tech. Welcome aboard.

Take care of yourself.
Kevin, That would be most appreciated. Please PM or email me with the information. The beginning of the week I will contact this person's company directly. Also, even though it came through with a different IP address and is linked to a different email, this person has the same base IP address as the person who refused to be civil before. That was someone who has been UNcivil under more than one username as well...

I am locking this thread and will deal with this situation off-line.
