Percussion is a form of art - I just like to play percussion on someones head.

no seriously, in the movie American Beauty, this guy finds beauty in all sorts of things that others might find tragic. He takes all sorts of odd photos and finds great beauty in them - then again he also smokes alot of pot. Near the end he finds the dad (Kevin Spacey) dead on the kitchen table, his brain blown out - for a moment he gets lost in the beauty he sees in the dead man on the table, then all of a sudden gets shaken out of his reverie in the realization that : there is a dead man here and we need to do something about it.

People can find beauty in all sorts of odd things. Really good surgery - the blood, the stitching, skillful removal of tissue. I have watched really good AIki and just been floored by the beauty of throwing someone to the ground. A stunning combination of blows that renders a man unconscious. Art is a hard thing to explain, its hard to explain why something is beautiful to us and other things aren't. I love museums too, but I don't find all works of art beautiful. There is an odd beauty in ugliness sometimes.
