Protesters of illeagal forestry practices here in BC are forced to go onto the roads to stop loogging because the courts won't delay the illeagal logging until the case is settled. They hope their case will bring up the logging practices and force the courts to force the companies to obey the law.
Then the protesters are busted for breaking an injunction to clear the road, and forestry issues are never dealt with.
This seems so similar here - the gun registry thing will never be heard in his case, he has been charged under older existing statutes.
I ignored firearms law when researching my bok but maybe it's time. What should be done is to list all the firearm's laws so someone can be seen to be clearly obeying all of them, and yet force the RCMP to bust him, publically, for a non-registered firearm.
Maybe, someday - too busy now.
